Movie Review: The Lovely Bones

So, I just watched "The Lovely Bones" starring Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz and Susan Sarandon. The movie was directed by Peter Jackson.

The movie is about a girl, who is being stalked by her neighbour, who plans a trap to murder her. When she goes to heaven, she realizes she can spiritually communicate to her family and tries to lead them to her killer.

The movie is really full of surprises and can be very gloomy. It really is a depressing film. Not to say that's a bad thing. But it's not something I would recommend if you're looking for a good time with your friends. All the actors do a great job in this film. I'm not really a fan of Mark Wahlberg, but I thought he did an excellent job as Jack Salmon. I was also happy to see Rose McIver in this film. For those of you that don't know, she played the Yellow Ranger in 2009's Power Rangers R.P.M. and it was great seeing her in a Peter Jackson film. She really did a great job and hopefully opened the door to other Ranger actors who are just as good as she is...

One thing that did bug me about the movie was the ending. The killer gets away after Rose's character finds evidence on him. We later see him trying to pick up another girl, but the girl refuses to go with him. An icicle from a tree falls on him, which makes him stumble off the cliff... I really feel this was kinda weak. I didn't feel the killer was brought to any justice. I would've actually preferred it if Mark Wahlberg had just randomly came out of nowhere and beat the living shit out of him... but, I guess it was fine.

All in all, I thought the movie was pretty good. It's definitely worth checking out. 7 out of 10.

Back To Business!

Ok... So I'm Back! and what should I talk about? Chris Evans as Captain America?!

Ya, I wasn't sure what to think when I first heard the news... Human Torch as Captain America? For realz???? Looks like it....

Well, before people start complaining, let's remember. Many people thought Michael Keaton was going to be a horrible Batman, when he was first announced. "Mr. Mom as Batman?!?! No way!"

and now look... he's still considered one of the best people to play the character. Hell, the same was said about Tobey when he was chose to play Spider-Man... People were even questioning Heath Ledger as the Joker!!!

So, let's all just take a deep breath, because just like all those other actors mention above, Chris Evans might surprise us all.
